VIRTUES OF DESIGN

Upon reading both essays by Bonsiepe and the article by Barry & Martin, I found myself pondering over the role of the designer in modern society. I started questioning how we can make book design or journalistic design more accessible and captivating for the audience. My objective was to approach design from a non-objective standpoint while maintaining passion and creating designs that are approachable to the viewer. The Virtuous Book delves into these topics and seeks to offer insights and solutions to these challenges.
In the process of creating my layout, I delved into extensive research on various forms of journalistic and documentation design, as well as guerrilla and grassroots forms of design. Based on my findings, I aimed to integrate bold and striking visuals with text, particularly for the secondary text.
